The Low Profile FeederTM
The Hybrid Feeder revolutionising the Bulk Materials Handling market.
Why choose the Low Profile Feeder (LPF) over an apron feeder or a belt feeder? The LPF is essentially a hybrid feeder, bringing the benefits of an apron feeder and a conventional belt feeder together plus some additional benefits.
The direct benefits of the LPF include a lower profile than either an apron feeder or belt feeder, no tracking issues as experienced with belt feeders, making the LPF hybrid feeder unit particularly good at two-way feeder applications. The Transmin LPF also reduces spillage when compared to an apron feeder and it can use belt widths of up to 4m with a capacity up to 10 000tph depending on bulk density. It is also the only feeder to feature ProEDGE which is a pre-supplied hot vulcanised belt edging with 10 times the strength of conventional glue-based edging.
With its low 1m height advantage, the LPF acts as both an extraction feeder and conveyor in one, with the added ability to reverse direction and incline within a single machine – eliminating the need for additional transition points. Installing an LFP hybrid feeder can save on plant structure height and make the perfect retrofit solution when space is limited. These savings present additional cost savings in the form of a lower or shorter steel structure which leads to lower ancillary requirements for electrical and instrumentation cables, piping and a generally reduced plant footprint.
