Radial Stacker Conveyor
Controlled Stacking. Continuous Coverage.
Self-propelled stacking conveyor with extendable stinger and arc slewing for precise heap shaping.
Carmaky’s Radial Stacker Conveyor is a self-propelled tracked machine with an extendable stinger and full slewing capability. It receives ore from the Horizontal Index Conveyor and places material across the heap leach pad while working through retreat stacking cycles.

Key Benefits on Site
- Controlled Heap Shaping
Builds consistent arced stockpiles across cells.
- Continuous Retreat Stacking
Retreats while material flow continues through the stacking train.
- Tracked Movement and Levelling
Tracks, slews and levels on suitable rugged terrain.
- Extendable Coverage
The extendable stinger maintains placement coverage during retreat cycles.
- System Integration
Works in coordination with the Horizontal Index Conveyor and complete Carmaky stacking train.
System Role: Where It Fits
The Radial Stacker Conveyor is the final conveyor in the stacking system. It receives ore from the Horizontal Index Conveyor and places material across the pad during retreat stacking operations.
Typical flow:
Feed source → Ramp Conveyor → Grasshopper string → Transverse Conveyor → Horizontal Index Conveyor → Radial Stacker Conveyor
Common Applications
- Heap Leach Stacking with Retreat Cycles
Final ore placement while the stacking system retreats across the pad.
- Controlled Heap Construction
Building controlled shaped ore heaps through tracked, slewing and luffing movements.

Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some common questions we get asked at Carmaky.
What is a Radial Stacker Conveyor?
A Radial Stacker Conveyor is the final stacking machine in the heap leach stacking train. It receives material from the Horizontal Index Conveyor and places it across the heap leach pad using controlled arc slewing, boom luffing and stinger extension.
Why is a Radial Stacker used in heap leach operations?
The Radial Stacker controls final ore placement across the heap leach pad. Its movement allows operators to build consistent heap profiles, maximise stacking coverage and maintain continuous material placement during retreat stacking operations.
Where does the Radial Stacker fit within the stacking train?
The Radial Stacker is positioned at the end of the system and forms the final material placement point. Typical flow: Feed Source → Ramp Conveyor → Grasshopper String → Transverse Conveyor → Horizontal Index Conveyor → Radial Stacker.
How does a Radial Stacker create stacking coverage?
The Radial Stacker combines slewing, luffing, stinger extension and tracked movement to place material across a wide operating area. These movements allow the machine to build controlled heap profiles while maintaining continuous stacking.
What equipment typically works with a Radial Stacker?
The Radial Stacker is designed to operate together with the Horizontal Index Conveyor, Transverse Conveyor, Grasshopper Conveyors and Ramp Conveyors as part of a complete heap leach stacking system.
Are Radial Stackers only used for heap leach applications?
No. Although Radial Stackers are widely used in heap leach operations, they can also be applied in stockyards, bulk storage facilities, ports and other material handling applications where controlled stockpile placement and coverage are required.
Discuss Your Radial Stacker Conveyor Requirements
